WakeForge is an Android alarm and wake-up mission application provided by Ornalens ("WakeForge", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy applies to the WakeForge mobile application and related support services.
1. Information we process
Account and profile information
If you continue with Google, we receive your Firebase user identifier, email address, display name, profile image URL, and basic Google profile information you authorize. We also determine your device time zone so alarms and streaks work at the correct local time. Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication process authentication information, IP address, user-agent information, and security signals.
Alarm, mission, and progress information
WakeForge processes the alarms and schedules you create, repeat settings, selected mission type and configuration, alarm completion history, streaks, XP, level, and related app settings. This information is stored on your device. When you are signed in and network access is available, selected profile, alarm, completion, and progress records are also synchronized through our Cloudflare-hosted API to our Supabase database so that the service can maintain your account and progress.
Camera and motion sensors
- Camera: used only when you choose the QR-code mission and grant camera permission. QR frames are analyzed on your device to recognize the configured code. WakeForge does not intentionally save or upload camera images or video.
- Accelerometer: used during the shake mission to count device movement. Raw motion readings are processed temporarily on your device and are not intentionally retained or uploaded.
Usage, diagnostics, and advertising information
- Firebase Analytics records app interactions such as onboarding progress, alarm creation and completion, mission type, streak events, paywall views, and purchase events. These events help us understand and improve WakeForge.
- Firebase Crashlytics may process crash traces, installation identifiers, app version, device model, operating-system information, and technical diagnostics to identify and fix failures.
- Google AdMob automatically processes information including IP address (which may indicate approximate location), ad and app interactions, diagnostics, advertising ID, app set ID, and related device or account identifiers for advertising, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. WakeForge currently requests non-personalized ads, but Google may still use contextual and device information to deliver and measure ads.
Purchases and subscriptions
Google Play Billing and RevenueCat process product identifiers, purchase and subscription status, transaction history, entitlement status, and a WakeForge account identifier. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Payment information is handled by Google Play and its payment partners.
Feedback and communications
If you send feedback or contact support, we process the message and the contact information you provide. Your email application may also include information you choose to send. Please do not include passwords, authentication tokens, or unnecessary sensitive information.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and maintain WakeForge accounts;
- schedule alarms, run missions, calculate streaks, and synchronize progress;
- provide purchases, subscriptions, restores, and account entitlements;
- serve and measure advertising for free users;
- monitor performance, prevent abuse and fraud, troubleshoot failures, and improve the app;
- respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing WakeForge, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Service providers and disclosure
We disclose information only as needed to operate WakeForge, comply with law, protect users, or complete a business transfer. Our service providers include:
- Google: Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, AdMob, Google Play services, and Google Play Billing;
- RevenueCat: purchase, subscription, and entitlement management;
- Cloudflare: API delivery, network security, and request processing; and
- Supabase: hosted account, alarm, completion, and progress data storage.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising providers may process and disclose advertising-related information as described above and in their own privacy notices.
4. Storage, security, and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections where supported by our service providers. No system is completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States, subject to their data-protection commitments and applicable law.
5. Retention
- Local alarm and progress information remains on your device until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall WakeForge.
- Account and synchronized app information is retained while your account is active and then deleted or de-identified after a valid deletion request, except where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting, or legal compliance.
- Firebase Crashlytics generally retains crash and associated installation data for 90 days before removal begins.
- Analytics, advertising, purchase, and service-provider records follow the retention controls and legal requirements of the relevant provider.
6. Your choices
- You can grant or deny camera and notification permissions through Android settings. QR scanning will not function without camera access.
- You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID and manage ad privacy controls through your device and Google settings.
- You can remove individual alarms inside WakeForge and clear local data through Android app settings.
- You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.
7. Delete your WakeForge account and data
You can request deletion even if WakeForge is no longer installed. Email us from the Google email address associated with your WakeForge account and use the subject WakeForge Account Deletion Request. Do not send your password or authentication token.
After we verify the request, we will delete the WakeForge Firebase account and associated profile, synchronized alarms, mission-completion history, and streak/progress data, and request deletion or dissociation of account-linked data held by relevant processors. We normally complete verified requests within 30 days.
Some transaction, subscription, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal records may be retained where required or permitted by law. Deleting WakeForge does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel active subscriptions first in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
If you used WakeForge as a guest, your app data is stored locally. Clear WakeForge's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app to remove that local data.
8. Children's privacy
WakeForge is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the user's jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as WakeForge or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this address and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.
